Do You Really Want to Die?

When someone says, “I want to die,” I look back on my own experience in times when life has seemed too hard to go on.
Deeper thought led me to realize it wasn’t really about dying – it was about escaping the seemingly intolerable pain.
Life is hard – but most times we can choose our “hard.”
Debt is hard – financial discipline is hard. Choose your hard but live.
Breaking up is hard – getting out of a toxic relationship is hard. Choose your hard but live.
Being bullied is hard – surviving a bully is hard. Choose your hard but live.
Sextortion is hard – exposing your secrets is hard. Choose your hard but live.
Eating disorders are hard – getting help is hard. Choose your hard but live.
Your life is so precious – and this hard thing will pass.
Choose life.
