Our Roots

Glen Rutledge

LifeNet Founder

Seeing the lifeless body of a 12-year-old boy, Timmy, lying still in  a coffin, shook Glen Rutledge, to the core. Glen, former V.P. of CCCI, called his brother-in-law, David Mainse, founder of Crossroads Christian Communications, and wept, saying, “We’ve got to do something.” What followed was Circle Square TV for kids and Inside Track TV for teens, With Circle Square Ranches all across Canada for follow-up, over  250,000 kids were reached through the ranches. Some years later, Glen was given the vision for LifeNet Ministries and shown the global technology that would be available for reaching kids around the world.

Glen says, “We reached 250,000 kids with the ranches, but we can reach that many in a day – right where they are – through today’s social media. With suicide now being the second most prevalent cause  of death for kids aged 8-17, we have to do something.”

The key is in getting out in front of the problem. Instead of trying to mop up the devastation after a child has taken his or her life, we need to be there, pointing the way to hope and restoration and meaningful life. These precious young people need more than referrals to abortion clinics and pharmacies.

LifeNet Ministries is made possible entirely through donations by concerned friends and partners.

Your support is deeply appreciated. It will make a difference in young lives.
